Stuck In Other Seasons
02:28
|
|||
Stuck in other seasons.
I'll never see your eyes, you'll never see me cry,
but both are real as the leaves falling down.
Stuck in other seasons.
I ride off in the sun, find my way back by the moon,
no place to be, not a soul waiting for me.
Your face has changed my old friend.
The sun has died your hair;
and you've lost track of the flower loosely tucked behind your ear.

(BIRTH)day

A warm morning...
the breeze takes the leaves and forgets them for us to play in.
A rainy afternoon...
the wind takes raindrops and plays a song for those that know it.
An evening lit by our hand...
we curse the wind, curse our breaths, and our burnt thumbs.
I hear the highway, see the bus, but where am I?
I hear laughter, and I hear music, but where am I?
A night of talk...
this is only proof of our questions.
We walk east, into the sun.
Shoot the breeze, and hear no one.

What I Think I See
03:44
|
|||
Change is gonna come for me, if I can see the road;
or I'll remain dead on my own
Change is gonna come if we work together, cause I am blind, can't see;
but doesn't blindness entail this to me?
I should've known...
Why can't I see who I need to be to be happy amongst you all?
Change seems to run away from me...she saw the path to freedom.
Shouldn't I have seen the silhouette of what I'm looking for?
Remember that I cannot see! Or at least I believe...
The end is near, it's my time, please go on, leave me be.
Will I ever see what's meant for me or will I be this way forever?
Who would want to waste their time to come and find what's left of who I could be?
Nobody nobody nobody
No one gives a fuck for me.
At least that's how I see

72 Day Street

This seat feels warm...I jot down a few lines.
Think for a minute, tell my feet to move on
Write letters to my family, detailing how I've been.
I sip down my confidence; My coffee burns my tongue.
So I fucked up today, and that's ok, that's ok.
A string around my taste buds,
says I feel fine, I feel free, what more can you ask of me?
I feel fine, I feel free, what more can you ask of me?
The cold burns through my jeans, but my desire keeps me warm.
The wind cracks my lips my fingernails but I know you know I'm coming fast and I'm coming for you.
So stay awake, I know you've been coming down.
Sing me a new song, says I feel fine, I feel free, what more can you ask of me.
I feel fine, I feel free, what more can you ask of me?
The lights go out, I'm fumbling, tripping all over myself
I search I search I search I scream oh god if you're there please, please save me
never never ask again, the walls sign back as I bash my head to avoid the attack
I collapse to the ground, as space envelopes the sound and a cry, she says hey it's fucking dark down here.
I feel fine, I feel free, what more can you ask of me.
I feel fine, I feel free, what more can you ask of me?

Sweet Winter Hello
03:05
|
|||
To the hills, to the hills, to the hills we go.
Bring all of your fog and smoke.
Bring all of the friends you know,
To the hills we go
To the fall, to the fall, to the fall we blow
Goodbye kisses bid winter hello
Feel the pine needles give way below
Winter sweet winter hello
Steal my sun
I'll be your only one
In the times, in the times, in the times we know
Life takes money and money makes woes
'Till your dear little heart lets it go
Keep an eye on a silent sky
See the splendor in a short ride
Be the slow falling snow in the times we know
In the times we know
To the hills, to the hills, to the hills we go.
Bring all of your fog and smoke.
Bring all of the friends you know,
To the hills we go.
